// CONCEPT:

Denim is centric to American identity, and so is the exploitation of resources. In times when extraction, waste crisis and climate change is a reality, we have to find ways to recreate with materials that would otherwise end up in landfills. Denim in particular holds an intense cultural significance to many, while also being one of the most environmentally impactful fabrics to produce.

// MATERIALS:

old pair of used denim + eco-friendly resin

// PROCESS:

Stool: Saturated the jeans in resin and was placed over a bucket to harden into place.

Basket: Cut and dipped strips of denim into resin and began to weave these pieces into a deep hollow form.
